It is time to dust down your RV and get ready for the best summer camping you are about to take on. But first, you should set the right mood before you hit the road. Upgrading your RV doesn’t have to be an activity that breaks the bank. Our five simple upgrade tips will silence the cries of, “Are we there yet?” making it impossible to leave the inner comfort of your RV.

A home away from home

There are 600,000 registered RV owners in Australia who prefer RVing as their mode of travel due to the economic climate and because their more convenient than hotels. The popularity shows in the numbers with an estimated $1.8 billion of revenue being generated from Caravanning. It is home away from home and making it feel like it on the road is essential. Revive the inside of your RV by making it look modern and comfy. Strip your floors to something that is practical and easy to clean like interlocking wooden planks, laminate and hardwood vinyl flooring. These are not only easy to install, but their tough surface makes it investment against wear and tear. Choose light neutral colours to give the inside of your caravan an illusion of being more spacious.

Getting comfy

The next spot you could be spending most of your time at is the couch waiting to arrive at your next destination. If it is old, lumpy and sagging in places it shouldn’t be it is time to say goodbye. You could go to a second-hand store to replace your furniture with furniture that is lightweight and comfortable. Keep in mind that you will need to invest in something that can withstand grime, dirt, and the test of time. Avoid furniture that is covered in plastic. It’s just a no no. Try to stick with light neutral colours. If you want to be adventurous with colour you can always choose some strong accents for your cushions and throws.

Off your hinges

No one likes a creaking cupboard, or a door that makes you feel like you are on the latest episode of WWE. Renovate your cupboards, they need love too. This takes no time with a few drill bits and a D.I.Y plan on tow that you can find online. Apply lubricant where needed for those squeaky hinges, which would be perfect for a midnight snack that you don’t want no one to know about.

Light it up

Down let your newly renovated interior to drown in a current of awful coloured light. Let it shine. Modernise your RV by including some LED lights, Globe lights, String lights the variety is endless. Lean towards lighting that sets the appropriate mood in a room. You don’t want to make the mistake of install bright lights in the spot where you sleep.

Home is where the WiFi is

Now to add the final touches…WiFi. Leaving your electronics at home are a thing of the past especially when it comes to sharing all the glorious beauty you have witnessed in the great outback. A mobile hot spot is your next best friend for both business and pleasure. It is not only helpful in sharing pictures and files immediately online, but it is excellent if you are trying not exceeding you monthly data allowance. Talk about levels.
